Un dimanche à Saint Malo :: The houses of the Sillon promenade

Monday, May 13, 2013

If you ever find yourself visiting the amazing fortified town that is Saint Malo, venture beyond the walls of the village and walk the Chaussée du Sillon along the sea front. You'll stroll by some of the most incredible beach front dwellings, including two of the skinniest houses you'll ever see in your life. Built in 1921 the Pavillon Sellem and Pavillon Le Petit Fréhel separate the "twin villas" on either side, built 30 years previously, and all four houses operate as individual lots.
I love the colourfully painted accents, all the different shaped windows and the beautifully tiled name plaques.
How nice it would be to spend August in one of them.
